Shipping policy

1. Ordering

To see our four step ordering process please refer to Shoppe Instructions.

If you wish to place a corporate or wholesale order, please email Hello@porkpie.co.uk to discuss availability of stock, delivery, delivery costs and bulk trade discounts.

2. Prices

The prices We charge you will be the prices displayed on this Website at the time We receive your order but, whilst We try to ensure that such prices are accurate, We reserve the right to correct the prices if We discover an error. In this event, you will be entitled to cancel your order or re-confirm it at the correct price.

Subject to the paragraph above, the total value of the order will be displayed on the order confirmation screen.  The displayed price is the amount in pounds sterling that you will pay.  We only accept payment in pounds sterling.  If you are ordering from a non United Kingdom address with a credit card, your credit card company will apply what it considers to be the appropriate exchange rate.

3. Delivery

  1. To ensure delivery, accurate information is vital.  Please ensure that all names, addresses and telephone numbers are accurate.  Please note that We must have a delivery address postcode and We must have a contact telephone number.  Our products require a signature upon delivery, so if you are not at home during the day perhaps you could use an alternative address for delivery, for example your place of work.
  2. The invoice address must however be that of the person making the payment.
  3. Deliveries of chilled products can only be made to mainland UK addresses. This excludes The Channel Islands, Scottish Islands and any countries outside the UK, including but not limited to Ireland. The current delivery charge for chilled products to any mainland UK address is £7.95.
  4. You can request that We despatch your order on any future date (not exceeding 180 days), providing this is one of Our standard delivery days at the current prices.  See the delivery calendar in the shopping basket section for full information of valid delivery days.  All UK deliveries by courier usually occur between 8.30am and 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday, except following a Bank Holiday, when our earliest delivery day will usually be 2 workings days after the holiday. Whether orders are sent via Royal Mail, courier or otherwise, we cannot guarantee a specific date of delivery. Therefore the date requested by you when placing an order and the delivery date specified by Us is only an estimated delivery date.
  5. We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect. We advise that if you are not sure of the address you should check it using the Post Office Address Finding Service. Please note that this external site link will open in a new window.
  6. We regret that We are unable to accept orders for delivery to an address containing a PO Box number or from persons placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number.
  7. Deliveries will be made to the address specified.  In the event that you select a business address, we will be deemed to have delivered the product to its intended recipient by delivering to the reception area of the business address and receiving a signed receipt of delivery.
  8. If orders are received by Us after the published deadlines for a specified delivery date We will endeavour to send your goods on the next available delivery date.
  9. A courier will be used to deliver only orders containing chilled goods for delivery to mainland UK addresses. Royal Mail will be used to deliver orders containing only ambient goods, to UK. However if the cost of posting an ambient only order to the UK mainland is greater than the cost of a courier to deliver the order, a courier will be used instead of Royal Mail, and your delivery charge will reflect this reduced cost.

4. Payment

We take payment at the time of the order, not necessarily the time of despatch.  This is to ensure that We are able to avoid any potential hitches preventing your goods being delivered on time.

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro (Switch) and Solo via Worldpay secure e-payment facility.

All credit card orders are positively credit card sanctioned prior to despatch, so please ensure that all details provided are correct. We cannot accept responsibility for an order being held back as a result of incorrect or invalid payment details being given.  We require you to supply the registered address of the credit card holder, which is used to validate the order with your selected credit card company.  Failure to supply the correct details will result in your order being held back.

5. Amendments

Subject to any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (“the Regulations”)  We cannot accept amendments to orders unless these are received by the published deadline for receipt of orders for the specific delivery date. Amendments can be made by e-mailing Hello@porkpie.co.uk.

6. Cancellation

If the delivery is in the UK despatch of your order can be stopped and you may cancel your order by contacting us within 48hrs of the day you have requested for delivery (provided that We have not already despatched your order), by contacting Customer Services between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 by e-mailing Hello@porkpie.co.uk and we will arrange a refund.
  2. If you have ordered food products, orders cannot be cancelled (subject to paragraph (a) above) due to the fact that such products are perishable.
